Special features in the construction and operation of low voltage switchgears
To prevent serious dangers and injuries, low voltage distribution equipment must be planned, installed and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations. On June 20, 2016, the LVD 2014/35/UE regulation on the harmonization of legal provisions for the supply of electrical equipment entered into force, which formulated protective objectives, such as the exclusion of hazards in the event if indirect or direct contact, due to temperatures, electric arcs and radiation. The article discusses important special features related to the construction and operation of low voltage switchgear, which should always be taken into account.
Mandatory CE markings
When selecting an appliance, electrical equipment always has to be checked for CE markings. This ensures that the low voltage switchgear is built in accordance with the relevant guidelines and is ready for operation. A nameplate with the following information, such as manufacturer, type designation, etc. should be placed in a visible place.
Other special features in the construction and operation of low voltage switchgears – relevant EU regulations
In accordance with relevant EN standards, it is possible to ensure a high level of safety for operating personnel and the reliability and optimal adaptation of the devices. The most relevant standards are the following; EN 61439-1, EN-61439-2, EN-61439-5.
Choosing Incobex low voltage switchgears, you can be sure that they are built in accordance with all construction rules and therefore have special features that minimize the risk of arc faults
